About Jam

Jam makes bug reporting faster for product, QA, support, and engineering teams. Every Jam brings the recording, logs, network requests, repro steps, device information, and replay into one link, so engineers and AI agents can see what happened and start fixing. We are a small, senior team of 10 working remotely across EU and US time zones.

The next chapter is about making Jam a first-class Mac product while reimagining how people and AI agents capture, understand, and resolve problems in software.

We are hiring a Staff Product Designer to take that work from problem framing to the final shipped experience.

Founded in 2020, Jam is backed by Figma Ventures, Notable, Union Square Ventures, and Version One Ventures, alongside founders and operators from companies including Vercel, Figma, Copy.ai, Mixpanel, and LaunchDarkly.

Questions you will help us answer

• How might we make activation and onboarding lead new and existing users to create their first Jam on Mac?
• How might we make everyday Mac workflows, from capture quality to transcripts and integrations feel native, clear, and delightful?
• How might Jam help people hand work to always-on agents (in the cloud), and let agents use Jam themselves, without losing context, trust, or control?

What you will own

• Shape and ship Jam for Mac, from the first problem framing through interaction design, release, and final polish.
• Design the web experiences that help new and existing users discover, activate, and return to the Mac app.
• Turn broad product questions into clear flows, high-fidelity interfaces, and prototypes that help the team make decisions.
• Extend Jam's existing design and code systems.
• Explore what Jam should become as software development moves toward always-on cloud agents.

What we are looking for

Exceptional visual and interaction craft. Your work is clear, polished, and considered at the level of typography, layout, states, motion, and behavior. You know that the last 10% often determines whether a product feels trustworthy.

Strong product ownership. You can frame an unclear problem, identify the opportunity, propose a direction, and create momentum without waiting for a complete brief.

Prototyping judgment. You know when an idea needs a sketch, a written framing, a Figma exploration, a working prototype, or a draft PR. You use the smallest useful combination to move the work forward.

Technical fluency. You are comfortable near code, developer workflows, and primitives such as APIs, CLI tools, MCP, and webhooks. You use AI coding tools to make ideas tangible and can make small implementation changes when useful.
